Dancer’s Flexible Nose! 26-Year-Old Huizhou Teacher Got Natural Rhinoplasty for Stage Moves
A 26-year-old lady from Huizhou visited HANFEI Plastic Surgery Hospital for comprehensive prosthetic rhinoplasty,

hoping to improve her low nasal bridge and rounded nasal tip. As a contemporary dance teacher, she often performs on stage and takes group photos with students—she felt that her flat nose lacked three-dimensionality,

especially in side profiles, and the rounded tip made her face look less sharp. She emphasized that the nose should move naturally with her facial expressions (like when she smiles or dances) and not look rigid.
We customized the surgery based on her facial dynamics and bone structure: for the nasal bridge, we chose a medium-height silicone prosthesis with a smooth surface, which is flexible enough to avoid looking “stiff” during facial movements. For the rounded tip, we used autologous ear cartilage to reshape it—carving the cartilage into a natural, slightly pointed shape to enhance definition without losing softness. We also made a minor adjustment to the nasal septum to ensure the nose was perfectly centered, which is crucial for stage performances where symmetry is noticeable.
The recovery process was smoother than she expected—she had only mild nasal swelling for 6 days, which didn’t affect her ability to teach basic dance moves. When the splint was removed after 11 days, she looked in the mirror and said, “It moves with my face! Even when I smile widely, it feels natural.” By the third month, the nose had fully adapted: the bridge had a soft, natural curve, the tip was defined but not sharp, and it complemented her stage presence perfectly. Her students even said, “Teacher, your side profile looks so nice in the new group photo!”
