What is FUE Hair Transplantation?

      Definition of FUE
Follicular unit extraction (FUE), also known as follicular transfer (FT), is one of two primary methods of obtaining hair follicles, naturally occurring groups of one to four hairs, for hair transplantation. The other method is called strip harvesting.

      Technological Superiority of FUE
Through perfect combination of "non-trace & extremely short surgery time", FUE hair transplantation shortens the time of transplantation to the maximum extent and ensures the input of nutrition to the transplanted hair follicles without damaging the original hair follicles. This technique is less traumatic to the scalp and has shorter recovery time, not requiring hospitalization. The newly growing hair can receive normal hair treatment of blowing, dyeing and perming.

     1. High extraction rate of hair follicles which can be up to 100%.
     2. High survival rate of hair follicles that can be up to 98%.
     3. Natural and perfect effect of hair transplantation which conforms to normal hair growth direction.
     4. The number of hair follicles transplanted has increased by 85% compared with that of the traditional FUE.
     5. Two to three times higher transplantation rate of hair follicles compared to the traditional FUE with the help of high-tech equipment.
     6. Safe and painless transplantation process with the professional analgesic surgery system of the United States.
     7. Rapid postoperative recovery without any stitches required or scars left as an ultrafine minimally invasive surgery, not affecting normal work and life.

     Procedure Process of FUE
     1. Hairline design
     2. Measurement of the density of hair follicles
     3. Hair follicles extraction
     4. Remove the hair follicles and put them into the dispensing liquid for cultivation to improve their survival rate.
     5. Use the FUE precision instrument to make reasonable distribution on the hair loss area and then transplant the hair follicles. One does not feel any pain during the transplant. And after the procedure, no bandage is required on the head.
     6. Postoperative Treatment: One should clean the hair and receive disinfection on the wound after the procedure, and shall take antibiotics and hormones strictly as prescribed to prevent bacterial infection.

      FUEs Advantages over FUT
Follicular unit extraction generally has a quicker patient recovery time and significantly lower post-operative discomfort than follicular unit transplantation (FUT). Additionally the risk of long term nerve damage, leading to chronic numbness and/or pain in the donor area, is significantly reduced with FUE vs the strip (FUT) procedure. Additionally, FUE provides an alternative to FUT when the scalp is too tight for a strip excision and enables a hair transplant surgeon to harvest finer hair from the nape of the neck to be used at the hairline or for eyebrows.

Besides, with FUE, the follicles are harvested from a much greater area of the donor zone compared to FUT, estimated to be eight times greater than that of traditional strip excision so requires patients to have hairs trimmed in a much larger donor area.

     Intended Population of FUE
Those with baldness, hair falling, thin hair, scarring hair loss or thin eyebrow or eyelash, or with the desire for hairline adjustment, widow's peak making, temple hair or beard repairing or local modification for body hair.
